IN MOTION
Turning Passion into Purpose

If you’ve ever felt the pull to grow beyond your current role — to create more impact, more freedom, or simply a better rhythm for your life — you’re in good company.
I’ve spent more than two decades in K–12 education, as a teacher, EdTech entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, and startup executive, following that same creative instinct, one intentional pivot at a time.
I come from a family of artists, educators, and entrepreneurs, so building creative education ventures is in my DNA. And along the way, I’ve discovered that almost every teacher has some kind of creative idea inside them, with an itch to turn it into either a side hustle or a full blown new career.
The problem? Most don’t have the time, energy, or support system to bring those ideas to life.
That’s where Pivot to Flow comes in.
What Pivot to Flow Is
Pivot to Flow is a framework that acts as a career incubator for creative educators, a blend of coaching, strategy, and community designed to help you:
Explore what’s possible beyond your current role
Translate your creative energy into real opportunities
Build an actionable plan that aligns with your values, strengths, and life circumstances
It’s not just about leaving teaching, it’s about unlocking what’s next, whether that means starting a side project, launching a venture, or moving into a new role that finally fits who you are now.
My Own Creative Pivots
The framework and network I provide isn’t theory — it’s based on principles I’ve applied again and again to turn my career as a K-12 dance teacher into the following:
A K–12 dance education program serving 100+ schools per year throughout Chicago for more than two decades.
EduMotion: SEL Journeys, an EdTech spinoff backed by NewSchools Venture Fund and later acquired by a global nonprofit.
A children’s book passion project that continues to sell on Amazon a decade later.
A leadership role at a global education nonprofit, where I coached teachers transitioning into new career paths.
Marketing and outreach leadership at an AI EdTech startup developing tools for student mental health.
Each chapter taught me the same lesson: creativity, when rooted in purpose, community, and structure, is the most powerful career catalyst there is.
What You Get When You Work With Me
When you engage with me, you’re not just hiring a coach you’re stepping into an incubator built for creative momentum.
Together, we’ll:
Build a customized action plan to explore your pathways and take concrete next steps.
Identify and strengthen your personal brand positioning (ie, your unique mix of story, strengths, and superpowers)
Receive consistent feedback on your content and materials (LinkedIn profile, pitch decks, marketing plans, and more).
Gain ongoing access to a network of creative educators who are exploring or have already launched their own ventures.
Get exclusive invitations to small-group masterclasses, workshops, and creative accountability circles.
And because accountability transforms outcomes, you’ll increase your likelihood of achieving your goals to 95% when you have a partner walking beside you, compared to just 46% when you go it alone.
Why “Pivot to Flow”?
Flow is that state where creativity, purpose, and impact finally align — where you’re doing work that energizes you instead of drains you.
The Pivot to Flow incubation framework helps you move from idea to clarity to momentum through reflection, strategy, and small, steady steps. It’s not about total reinvention, it’s about rediscovering your rhythm.
Purpose Beyond Profit
Giving back and lifting up others along the way is core to my mission. I volunteer weekly with The Cara Collective, helping people experiencing homelessness build confidence and prepare for job interviews.
And because I believe every pivot should ripple outward, 5% of my coaching fees are donated to Cara Collective, so when you invest in your next chapter, you’re also helping someone else take theirs.
A Bit More About Me
Outside of work, I recharge through yoga, dance, and paddleboarding. I’m a proud mom and supporter of my son’s punk rock band, and my family owns and operates a 50 year old vinyl record store in our community. Movement, creativity, and human connection have always been the through-lines in my life, and you’ll feel them in every aspect of how I coach.
If you’re someone who values creativity with structure, reflection with bold action, and purpose with possibility, you’re in the right place.
